John and Sandy Stevens are Associate Pastors at the Believers' Family Fellowship Church in Phoenix, Arizona. John has been in the ministry for over forty years, having served in a number of fields, including prison ministry, missionary evangelist to Mexico and Guatemala, Director of a Bible college in Mexico; author, teacher, singer, and counselor. John and Sandy are blessed to have ministered as marriage counselors, and to have given many classes and seminars to couples in this country and in Central America. They have also been involved in Hispanic Ministries for a number of years in the Phoenix area.
In late 2003, a missionary from Guatemala introduced John to the art of "penturning," and John decided to make it his hobby. With a gift from Sandy of a mini lathe for Christmas to get him started, he has turned out a number of very nice pens and mechanical pencils, working in the Pen Shop a few hours a week. Because of the overwhelming positive response, he has agreed to make his handcrafted writing instruments available to the general public. These pens and pencils are not mass produced, or mechanically duplicated, but crafted carefully and individually, each a one-of-a-kind creation.
